Dr. Catherine Deen is a Senior Lecturer in HR and Organisation Behaviour at the School of Business, University of New South Wales Canberra. She holds dual PhDs in Business (Organisational Behaviour, ANU) and Education (Educational Management, De La Salle University Manila), an MA in Psychology (Counseling, Ateneo De Manila University), and a BA in Psychology (cum laude, De La Salle University Manila). She is a Registered Psychologist and Certified Specialist in Educational Psychology (Philippines).
Her research examines the dark side of organizational behavior, focusing on:
- Work-related intimate partner aggression and sexual harassment
- Leadership dynamics and micromanagement
- Vocational experiences of vulnerable populations
- Inclusion and restorative justice frameworks
Her publications consistently explore themes of workplace violence, crisis leadership, and workforce vulnerability, with interdisciplinary approaches bridging management, psychology, and social justice. Research frequently appears in top-tier journals including Journal of Management and Journal of Vocational Behavior.
