Catherine De Lorenzo is an Adjunct Associate Professor at Monash University's Art, Design & Architecture Faculty. She specializes in Art History with a focus on Australian art, photography, exhibitions, and cross-cultural studies. Her work bridges disciplines such as visual anthropology, Indigenous studies, and architectural history.
She holds a PhD in Art History from the University of Sydney (1995), specializing in ethnophotography of Aboriginal Australians. Her research explores photographic exchanges between Australia and Europe, post-colonial critiques, and exhibition histories. Notable projects include co-authoring *Australian Art Exhibitions: Opening our eyes* (2018) and examining French photographic collections on Australia.
