Dr. Catherine Chojenta is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Newcastle's School of Medicine and Public Health. Her research focuses on maternal and infant health, particularly preconception, pregnancy, and perinatal periods. She has contributed to major studies like the Australian Longitudinal Study on Women's Health and leads the Worldwide Wellness of Mothers and Babies program. Dr. Chojenta has supervised 19 PhD candidates and currently supervises 7 more. Her work addresses global health disparities, including improving access to maternal healthcare in developing countries.
