Catherine Cesarsky is an esteemed astrophysicist associated with the Commissariat à l'énergie atomique (CEA) Saclay and the European Southern Observatory (ESO). She held leadership roles including Director General of ESO (1999-2007), Director of DSM (1994-1999), and Head of the Astrophysics Service (SAp) at CEA Saclay (1985-1993).
