- Center for Interprofessional Collaboration and Collaboration in Acute Care (CISA)
Publication Trends
Across more than a decade of publications, Frank has consistently addressed patient autonomy and participation in emergency and critical care, with a recent emphasis on geriatric perspectives and ethical competence among pre-hospital and emergency clinicians. Her studies integrate empirical data with ethical analysis, offering actionable insights for clinical practice and policy.
Doctoral Training & Mentoring
Frank defended her doctoral thesis "Opportunity makes participation: Patients' and caregivers' experiences of patient participation in the emergency department" at Linnaeus University Press in 2010. The work combined descriptive, method-developing, and evaluative approaches, laying the groundwork for her subsequent research portfolio.
