Catalina Sbert Juan

Catalina Sbert Juan is a Full Professor at the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB), affiliated with the Department of Mathematical Sciences and Computer Science since 1987. She teaches courses in Mathematical Analysis, Numerical Methods, and Applied Mathematics across multiple degree programs in Mathematics, Computer Engineering, Physics, and Chemistry.

• PhD in Computer Science (1995) - University of the Balearic Islands

Her research focuses on mathematical models for image restoration, particularly variational methods and partial differential equations. She leads the MIA (Mathematics, Images, and Learning) research group and has published in JCR-indexed journals while participating in international conferences. She contributes to interdisciplinary education through courses like "Mathematical Models in Image Restoration" at the Master's level.
