Casey Weisdock is a Lecturer in the Department of Historic Preservation at the University of Pennsylvania’s Weitzman School of Design. She also serves as Director of Industry Development and Technical Services for the International Masonry Institute (IMI), focusing on promoting best practices in masonry construction, restoration, and preservation. Her professional work spans research, documentation, and hands-on conservation of historic buildings, monuments, and public sculpture.
Education: BFA in Ceramics and Art History from Tyler School of Art, Temple University (2007), and MS in Historic Preservation from the University of Pennsylvania (2013). Notable awards include the Charles E. Peterson Award and the Anthony Nicholas Brady Garvan Award for her thesis.
Key projects include the restoration of the Corn Exchange National Bank (Philadelphia), conservation of the U.S. Supreme Court’s Vermont Marble exterior, and work on Yale University’s sculptures. She has also led initiatives through IMI, such as the Historic Masonry Preservation Certificate program for craftworkers.
