Casey Turner, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in the School of Kinesiology at Auburn University. Her research explores vascular physiology and how physical activity, aging, and biological sex influence vascular function and chronic disease development. She is based in the Kinesiology Building (Room 279) and can be contacted at cgt0037@auburn.edu.
- Education
- Ph.D. in Kinesiology (Georgia State University, 2022)
- Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Molecular Cardiology Research Institute (Tufts Medical Center, 2022–25)
- M.S. in Exercise Science (Georgia State University, 2017)
- B.S. in Exercise Science (Georgia College & State University, 2014)
Research Interests: Dr. Turner investigates vascular function, endothelial biology, and cellular mechanisms linking physical activity, aging, and sex differences to chronic disease risk. Her work emphasizes understanding how lifestyle interventions can mitigate vascular decline across diverse populations.
