Dr. Casey Colson serves as an Assistant Professor of Accounting in the Harley Langdale College of Business Administration at Valdosta State University. She holds a Master of Accountancy from Valdosta State University and maintains an active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential.
Her research specialization focuses on non-GAAP reporting, examining financial metrics that companies use beyond standard accounting principles. This area of research addresses contemporary issues in financial disclosure practices where organizations increasingly present alternative performance measures to stakeholders.
