Caryn Park

Caryn Park is a Core Faculty member in the School of Education at Antioch University Seattle. She has extensive experience teaching in early childhood classrooms across Illinois, Massachusetts, and Washington state, as well as supervising teacher education and Master’s in Education programs at institutions such as the University of Washington (Seattle and Tacoma), University of Massachusetts Boston, Tufts University, and Antioch University Seattle.

• Educational Background: PhD in Education, Curriculum, & Instruction from the University of Washington; BA with distinction in English from the University of Iowa.

Her research focuses on children’s understandings of race and ethnicity, extending to areas such as family engagement, multicultural curriculum design, English language learning, qualitative research methodologies, and teacher professional development aimed at promoting equity.
