Carsten Bunk

Carsten Bunk is a Lecturer and Supervisor at the Department of Social Work and Health, Emden/Leer University of Applied Sciences. He is actively involved in teaching, supervision, and practice coordination, with a strong focus on integrating ecological and international perspectives into social work education.

His research and professional activities span several key areas:

• Project-based learning in green pedagogy and ecological sustainability
• International blended intensive programs (BIPs)
• Prevention of gambling addiction (Glücksspielsuchtprävention)
• Interface management in rehabilitation (SEMRES)
• Social inclusion and normality studies (WINDIS)
• Prevention of school dropout among youth (AbJOP)

He is a member of the German Professional Association for Social Work (DBSH) and participates in state and federal working groups for practice departments in social work education. He also serves as a municipal councilor in Nortmoor and the joint municipality of Jümme.

Carsten Bunk is affiliated with the Institute for Social and Health Sciences Emden (ISGE) and contributes to various interdisciplinary projects focused on community development, health promotion, and social cohesion. He supervises students during their practical phases and supports the recognition of professional training years in social work.
