Carrie Freshour

Carrie Freshour is an Affiliate Professor and Assistant Professor of Geography at the University of Washington. Her research focuses on low-wage food and agricultural labor in the U.S. South, racial capitalism, carceral geographies, and Black Radicalism. She is finalizing a book titled Making Life Work, examining Black women’s experiences and communities in Northeast Georgia central to global chicken production.
