- Postdoctoral Fellowships: University of Marburg (DFG-funded), University of Toronto School of the Environment
Her current project Bees for Peace engages faith communities in pollinator conservation, recognized as an Official Project of the United Nations Decade on Biodiversity (2020). She organized interreligious nature conservation events in Germany and expanded the initiative to Canada, partnering with institutions like Pollinator Partnership Canada and the United Church of Canada. Her work bridges cultural and biological perspectives, emphasizing kinship with non-human life through methods like multispecies storytelling and participatory education.
Her research intersects with Extinction Studies, rejecting binaries between human/natural and cultural/biological. Key themes include co-creation of ecological worlds, ethical responsibility, and multispecies entanglement. Recent projects include analyzing tensions in interfaith environmental activism and testing child-focused pollinator education strategies through summer camps.
- Awards:
- UN Decade on Biodiversity Recognition for Bees for Peace (2020)
