Carolyn Slupsky

Carolyn Slupsky is a Professor in the Department of Food Science and Technology at the University of California, Davis, within the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences. She holds the Kinsella Endowed Chair in Food, Nutrition, and Health and has been recognized with multiple awards, including the Chancellor’s Fellow and accelerated promotions, underscoring her academic excellence and leadership.

Her research focuses on metabolomics, nutrition, and the gut microbiome, with applications in infant health, human milk research, and citrus disease. She utilizes advanced NMR and mass spectrometry techniques to investigate metabolic responses to diet and disease, bridging human and plant systems.
