Carolyn Scissons is a Lecturer in Business Administration and Bachelor of Business Administration at SAIT's School of Business. She teaches Intermediate Accounting I and II, employing real-world examples and data storytelling to enhance student engagement. Holding a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from the University of Ottawa and an Executive MBA from Athabasca University, Scissons maintains CPA-CMA, CIA, and PMP certifications. Her professional background includes executive roles as VP Finance & CFO at CE Brands Inc. and leadership positions at Direct Energy and Suncor Energy. She founded the Finance Learning Lab, creating over 40 educational videos on accounting fundamentals.
Scissons contributes to academic governance through the Audit Committee Board for Calgary Catholic School District and promotes women's advancement in STEM via the Alberta Chapter of Women in Communications & Technology.
