Caroline RIEU PLICHON

Caroline RIEU PLICHON is an Assistant Professor and Academic Director of the Human Resource Management track at IÉSEG School of Management. She holds a Ph.D. in Management from ESCP Europe (2019), a Research Master in Organization from Mines ParisTech (2013), and a Master in Management from EDHEC Business School (1997). Her research focuses on Change Management, Management under Uncertainty, and Qualitative Methods, with a particular emphasis on managerial paradoxes and ethnography. She has received notable awards, including the 2020 FNEGE Thesis Prize (Finalist) and a 2016 Best Paper Award from EIASM. Her teaching spans Change Management, HRM, and research methodology across executive programs, undergraduate, and graduate levels.

Professional experience includes postdoctoral research at IÉSEG (2018–2020), lecturing at ESCP Europe (2014–2017), and industry roles at IKEA as a National Change & Communication Manager (2013–2015) and National Shopping Experience Manager (2009–2012). Her work bridges academic rigor with real-world organizational challenges.
