Dr. Caroline Quach-Thanh is a full professor at Université de Montréal (UdeM) and an officer in infection prevention and control at CHU Sainte-Justine. She serves as president of the National Advisory Committee on Immunization and has held roles such as head of the Clinical Department of Laboratory Medicine, medical director of OPTILAB at CHU Sainte-Justine, and president of the Association of Medical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases of Canada. A Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada, she collaborates with the Université libre de Bruxelles' Centre for Research in Environmental and Occupational Health.
Her expertise spans infectious diseases, epidemiology, and public health. She advocates for infection prevention strategies and has contributed to establishing UdeM's first Chair in Infectious Disease Prevention. Her research focuses on clinical microbiology, hospital-acquired infections, and pandemic response mechanisms.
