Caroline Lebrec is Assistant Professor of Teaching and Language Program Director of French at the University of British Columbia's Department of French, Hispanic and Italian Studies within the Faculty of Arts. She holds a Ph.D. in French Studies from the University of Toronto (2012).
Her research explores inclusive pedagogy, collaborative writing practices, mathematics-literature interconnections, and queer approaches to French language education. She develops innovative textbooks like 'La francophonie en action' that adapt language frameworks to Canadian francophone communities.
Publications demonstrate strong focus on pedagogical innovation, including queer curriculum design, constrained writing methodologies, and collaborative learning approaches. Her works bridge literary theory, mathematics, and language education reform.
