معرفی
Caroline Lasser is a Professor at the Department of Mathematics within the School of Computation, Information and Technology at the Technical University of Munich (TUM). Her research focuses on numerical analysis and scientific computing, particularly in developing mesh-free discretization methods for highly oscillatory evolution equations in high-dimensional quantum systems.
- Research Projects
- CAS project: Attosecond Quantum Dynamics Beyond the Born-Oppenheimer Approximation
- DFG project: Mathematics of Many-Body Quantum Systems and Their Collective Phenomena
- Upcoming Events
- Women in PDEs, Karlsruhe (October 23-24, 2025)
- QuiDiQua3, Paris (November 5-7, 2025)
Her recent publications address semiclassical wave packet propagation, surface hopping algorithms, and variational approximations for quantum dynamics. Key methodological contributions include time-sliced thawed Gaussian approaches, Herman-Kluk coherence thermofield dynamics, and nonadiabatic nuclear modeling. She actively collaborates with researchers in chemistry and physics, as evidenced by interdisciplinary publications in journals like Journal of Chemical Physics and Physical Review A.
