Carolina Nobre is an Assistant Professor in the Computer Science Department at the University of Toronto. She holds a PhD from the University of Utah and a master’s degree in software engineering from Harvard Extension School, with prior experience as an oceanographer studying the Arctic Ocean. Her research focuses on user adaptive interactive data visualizations, multivariate network visualizations, and enhancing visual literacy through provenance analysis and experiential learning. She was awarded a Harvard Data Science Initiative Fellowship and the 2020 Wojcicki Troper Fellowship.
