Carolina Brandani is an Assistant Professor at Texas A&M AgriLife Research, based in Amarillo. She holds degrees in Forest Engineering (Federal University of Viçosa), M.S. in Soil and Plant Nutrition, and Ph.D. in Soil Science (University of São Paulo).
Research explores carbon/nitrogen cycling in semi-desert agroecosystems, manure application impacts, decomposition dynamics, and soil health indicators. Leads Manureshed Working Group-LTAR cross-site experiments on manure management practices.
Publications cover decomposition studies, grazing legacy effects, biochar applications, and GHG emissions in rangelands. Recent work develops spatial models for manure nutrient recycling in Texas.
