Carolin Köhler

Carolin Köhler serves as Professor and Dean of Studies at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Health, Kempten University of Applied Sciences, where she coordinates Bachelor's programs in Health Economics and Health Management while acting as Practice Representative for these disciplines.

Her research focuses on Health Economics and Health Management, addressing systemic challenges in healthcare financing, resource allocation, and organizational efficiency within Germany's social welfare framework, with secondary expertise in Social Work methodologies and Gerontological care systems.

The faculty hosts critical research infrastructure including the AAL Living Lab for ambient assisted living, IGG Institute for Health and Generations studying intergenerational health dynamics, and the Competence Center for Empirical Youth Work conducting field research in social services.
