Carolin Heizmann is a researcher at the Human-Technology Interaction Lab, affiliated with the Medical Center – University of Freiburg and the School of Business Informatics and Mathematics at the University of Mannheim. Her work bridges cognitive ergonomics, medical technology, and ethical AI development.

Her research explores participatory and ethics-oriented design methodologies for AI systems, social robots, and neurotechnologies in healthcare.
