Dr Carole Maddern is a full-time Lecturer in English Literature at Goldsmiths, University of London, specializing in Old English and medieval literature. She has over 20 years of teaching experience across London University colleges and adult education institutes. Her research focuses on medieval romance, gender studies, and the development of the English language. Maddern currently leads courses like Old English and Literature of the Later Middle Ages, and she is Deputy Programme Director for the University of London’s International Programme in English.
