Carole Berger is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at Savoie Mont Blanc University within the Faculty of Arts, Languages, and Humanities. She is a permanent researcher at the Laboratoire de Psychologie et NeuroCognition (LPNC) and actively contributes to the Babylab, focusing on child cognitive and emotional development through empirical research and educational interventions.
Her research expertise spans developmental psychology with emphasis on emotional skill acquisition in kindergarten children (EMOTIMAT project), mathematical vocabulary development (LEXIMATH project), semantic consistency in math problem-solving for typical and language-disordered children (TDLSEM project), and attentional processes in ADHD. She employs collaborative approaches with educators to co-construct evidence-based pedagogical tools that bridge theoretical frameworks with classroom applications.
Dr. Berger leads the Master's program in Child and Adolescent Psychology since 2010 and coordinates a University Diploma on autism spectrum disorders. Her research grants include Pegase-funded EMOTIMAT (2022-2024), LéA network funding (2021-2024), and USMB AAP research awards. At the Babylab, she utilizes RSVP methodology to investigate attentional mechanisms with direct clinical applications for ADHD assessment.
