Dr. Carol Weisfeld is Professor Emerita of Psychology at the University of Detroit Mercy, where she taught from 1979 until her 2018 retirement. Her interdisciplinary research examines marital satisfaction across cultures (U.S., England, Turkey, Russia, China) through an ethological lens. She authored The Psychology of Marriage: An Evolutionary and Cross-Cultural View and received the university's highest honors for faculty excellence.
Leadership: Active in university governance through faculty assemblies and unions
