Carol Ruffin

Carol Ruffin is an Associate Professor in the College of Arts and Sciences at Maranatha Baptist University, with dual affiliations in the Department of Humanities and the Department of Music. She has been a dedicated faculty member since returning to Maranatha in 1985, after initial teaching experience and professional work in music librarianship and Christian broadcasting.

Her educational background includes a BA in Sacred Music from Maranatha Baptist University and an MFA in Music and Speech from Bob Jones University.

Carol Ruffin's research and creative interests center on sacred music, Christian hymn composition, storytelling, and theatrical performance. She actively contributes to the arts through directing major campus productions such as Beauty and the Beast, The Sound of Music, and You Can’t Take it With You, blending drama, music, and spiritual expression.
