Carol Arnold

Carol Arnold is a Senior Lecturer and Course Director for the BA (Hons) Multimedia Journalism program at Canterbury Christ Church University's School of Creative Industries. She leads the Broadcast Journalism Training Council accredited undergraduate course and teaches across Digital Media, Film, Radio and TV Studies, and Media and Communication degree programs.

Her research focuses on local and independent media ecosystems, for which she holds Significant Responsibility for Independent Research Status. This work informs her supervision of Master's and PhD students exploring community-driven media models and digital transformation in regional journalism.

She serves as Module Lead for the Global Experience in Creative Industries, designing school-wide curricula that include European field trips to examine international media practices. Her pedagogical approach integrates industry accreditation standards with hands-on production techniques across broadcast and digital platforms.
