Sister Carol Anne Couchara, IHM, Ed.D. serves as Professor of Education, Dissertation Support Manager, and Director of the EDD (K-12) program at Immaculata University's College of Graduate Studies. Formerly Chairperson of the Education Division, she brings fifty years of affiliation with the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary to her academic leadership.
Her educational foundation includes:
- BA in Theology, Spanish, and Education from Immaculata College
- MA in Education from West Chester University
- Ed.D. in Education from Lehigh University
Dr. Couchara's expertise centers on educational leadership development across K-12 contexts, informed by extensive classroom experience in Philadelphia Archdiocese, Allentown and Atlanta dioceses, and Lima Peru. Her specialization in elementary and Spanish education shapes curriculum design for future educators.
As Dissertation Support Manager, she provides structured guidance to doctoral candidates throughout the research process. Her former role as Education Division Chairperson demonstrates sustained administrative commitment to program development within the Department of Education.
