Carmen Garcia Mateo

Carmen Garcia Mateo is a Professor at the University of Vigo, affiliated with the School of Telecommunications Engineering and the Department of Signal Theory and Communications. She is actively involved in the Research Center for Telecommunication Technologies and the SC9 Multimedia Technologies Group.

Educational Background:

• PhD in Signal Theory and Communications from the Polytechnic University of Madrid (1993), with a thesis on Spectrum representation techniques in low-speed voice coding, supervised by Dr. Luis Alfonso Hernández Gómez.

Research Focus:

Her work centers on Signal Processing and Telecommunications, particularly in Multimedia Technologies, Speech Processing, and Audio Coding, as evidenced by her affiliation with the SC9 Multimedia Technologies Group and the Research Center for Telecommunication Technologies.
