Carlos Fuente Lafuente

Carlos Fuente Lafuente is a prominent academic and protocol expert serving as Director of the Degree in Protocol and Event Organization at Camilo José Cela University (UCJC). He holds a PhD from UCJC and a Journalism degree from Complutense University of Madrid. His career highlights include:

• Founder and first President of the International Organization of Ceremonial and Protocol
• Vice President of the Professional Observatory of Protocol and Events
• Member of the International Academy of Ceremonial and Protocol

From 1980–2013, he served as Protocol Director for the Princess of Asturias Foundation. He also leads CFL Protocol & Events consulting agency and presides Ediciones Protocolo publishing house.

His expertise focuses on ceremonial practices, international protocol standards, event organization methodologies, and diplomatic event management. With over 50 publications, he is a leading authority in protocol studies and organizational ceremonial systems.
