Carlos Christoffersen is a Professor and Chair of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Lakehead University. He joined the institution in January 2002 and holds professional licensure as a P.Eng. His research focuses on integrated circuits, analog/RF/mixed-signal design, biomedical circuitry, and advanced simulation techniques.

Research emphasizes circuit modeling algorithms, transient analysis methodologies, and object-oriented approaches to scientific problem-solving. He leads the Cardoon Electronic Circuit Simulator project and maintains active collaborations with industry through the Cadence Member Program. His lab work integrates thermal-electrical simulation and nonlinear modeling innovations.
