Carlos Cabrelli

Carlos Cabrelli is a Full Professor at the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences, University of Buenos Aires (UBA), and an Investigador Superior (c) at CONICET. He is affiliated with IMAS-UBA-CONICET, a joint research institute dedicated to mathematics.

His research spans Sampling Theory, Signal Processing, Harmonic Analysis, Wavelets, and Frame Theory, focusing on the mathematical foundations of signal representation and data analysis. He has authored books and lecture notes on wavelets and sampling, and leads a research group in these areas.

He holds significant editorial leadership, serving as Editor-in-Chief of Sampling Theory in Signal and Image Processing (STSIP) and Area Editor for Sampling Theory, Signal Processing and Data Analysis (SASIDA). He is also an editor for the Revista de la Unión Matemática Argentina.

His teaching includes advanced graduate courses such as Sampling Theory, Real Analysis, Harmonic Analysis, and Geometric Measure Theory, demonstrating a deep commitment to graduate education in pure and applied mathematics.
