Carlo Tacchetti

Carlo Tacchetti is a Full Professor of Anatomy at the Vita-Salute San Raffaele University Medical School since 2017. He serves as Director of the Experimental Imaging Center at the San Raffaele Scientific Institute in Milan.

His research spans three decades, focusing on:

• Cell-Cell and Cell-ECM interactions in cartilage development (1986–2002)
• Melanosome biogenesis and ocular albinism (1996–2015)
• Cancer biology, ErbB receptors, endocytosis, and signaling (2000–present)
• Development of advanced electron and light microscopy techniques (1986–present)

His recent publications highlight expertise in cancer signaling, metabolic regulation, AI applications in healthcare, and advanced imaging modalities.
