Carla Ng

Dr. Carla Ng is an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering at the University of Pittsburgh. Her research integrates chemistry, biology, and engineering to model the fate of chemicals in organisms and ecosystems, with a focus on per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) and green infrastructure systems. She leads the Ng Lab, which develops computational and experimental frameworks to assess environmental contaminants, human exposure pathways, and sustainable remediation strategies.

Research Interests: Dr. Ng’s work spans molecular-level protein interactions with PFAS, toxicokinetics, and global-scale contaminant transport via food systems.
