Carla Gomes da Silva

Carla Gomes da Silva is an Assistant Professor at the University Medical Center Utrecht (UMC Utrecht), affiliated with the Brain Strategic Program. Her research focuses on molecular regulation in brain development, particularly neuronal migration processes linked to neurodevelopmental disorders like autism and schizophrenia.

Her recent work explores mechanisms in interneuron migration, synapse stabilization via adenosine/GABA signaling, and cortical morphogenesis. Collaborations span multiple disciplines, including neurobiology and developmental disorders.
