Dr. Carl Sorensen is a Professor in Mechanical Engineering at Brigham Young University's College of Engineering, concluding a 36-year career. He earned his Ph.D. in Materials Science from MIT after a B.S. in Physics from BYU. His research focuses on engineering design processes and industrial applications.
Sorensen co-founded BYU's nationally renowned Capstone program, which has grown from 20 to 350 students.
