معرفی
Carl Edward Faust is an Associate Professor and Department Head of Physics at Susquehanna University's School of Natural and Social Sciences. He holds a PhD in Physics Education from Lehigh University (alongside MS from Lehigh and BS from Kutztown University). His research focuses on atomic/molecular laser spectroscopy, studying electronic states of alkali diatomic molecules and inelastic collision dynamics using laser-induced fluorescence techniques.
Education:
- PHD in Physics Education, Lehigh University
- MS in Physics, Lehigh University
- BS in Physics, Kutztown University of Pennsylvania
Research emphasizes experimental analysis of molecular energy transitions and collision processes. His teaching spans foundational physics courses to advanced topics in quantum mechanics and mathematical physics. He actively engages students in hands-on projects like building cantaloupe-launching devices, fostering collaborative learning environments.
Labs/Teams: Leads experimental physics labs focusing on spectroscopic instrumentation and student-faculty collaborative research projects.
