Carl Brauhart is an Adjunct Research Fellow at the School of Earth and Oceans, University of Western Australia (UWA), and a Principal Consultant at CSA Global Pty Ltd since 2013. With over 25 years of experience in exploration geology, his work focuses on gold and base-metal exploration in Western Australia's frontier regions, emphasizing geochemistry (exploration and ore deposit) and field mapping. He leads the OSNACA Project at UWA’s Centre for Exploration Targeting, advancing ore deposit geochemistry research.
His research spans geochemical characterisation of ore deposits, hydrothermal alteration systems, and isotope geochemistry. Notable projects include studies in the Panorama district and North Pilbara terrain, addressing mineralization timing, metal leaching mechanisms, and exploration strategies for volcanic-hosted massive sulfide deposits. His contributions bridge academic research and industry applications, particularly in frontier exploration.
Carl’s expertise includes over a decade at Sipa Resources and extensive fieldwork globally. His work underscores the integration of geochemical data with field observations to enhance mineral exploration efficacy. Though no awards are explicitly listed, his prolific publications (h-index 27) reflect peer recognition in economic geology and ore deposit studies.
