Carey Leckie

Carey Leckie is an Associate Professor of Occupational Therapy at Springfield College's School of Health Sciences. He holds a Post-Professional Occupational Therapy Doctorate (OTD) from Chatham University (2018), Master of Science from Springfield College (1996), and Bachelor of Science from Westfield State University (1994). With over 20 years of clinical experience, he specializes in upper extremity rehabilitation and is a certified hand therapist and ergonomic assessment specialist. He is also a Marine Corps veteran.

His research focuses on clinical education methodologies (Andragogy), upper extremity rehabilitation techniques, and workplace rehabilitation strategies. He teaches courses such as OCTH 584, 683, and 684/685, emphasizing clinical education and professional seminars.

Leckie is actively involved in professional organizations: Secretary of the New England Occupational Therapy Education Council, Board Trustee of the Massachusetts 4-H Foundation, and Current President of the Hampden County 4-H and Youth Fair Association. His certifications include Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) through the Hand Therapy Certification Commission and membership in the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).
