Candice Maier

Candice Maier is an Associate Professor and Clinical Director in the Department of Counseling, Rehabilitation & Human Services at the University of Wisconsin-Stout. She holds roles in the B.S. Human Development & Family Studies (online and on-campus) and M.S. Marriage & Family Therapy programs. Dr. Maier specializes in clinical therapy, focusing on couple and family processes impacting health, gender equity in therapeutic practices, and feminist theories. She is a licensed clinician and an approved supervisor in the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT). Professional affiliations include membership in the Affiliate Council Board and Family Therapy sections of the National Council on Family Relations.

Her academic background includes a Ph.D. in Couple and Family Therapy from the University of Iowa, an M.S. in Human Development and Family Science from North Dakota State University, and a B.S. in Human Development and Family Studies from UW-Stout.
