Candace Petty

Candace Petty is an active Instructor in the College of Humanities and Sciences at the University of Mary Hardin–Baylor (UMHB), where she teaches Anatomy & Physiology I and II. She holds a B.S. and M.S. in Biology from the University of West Georgia and brings diverse professional experience, including prior work in nursing education, secondary science teaching, and four years of active-duty service in the U.S. Army with two deployments to Iraq.

Her educational journey reflects a deep commitment to biology and health sciences, initially starting in nursing before transitioning to a biology pre-med track. She earned her graduate degree with a focus on Anatomy, Physiology, and Microbiology, which directly informs her current teaching.
