Candace McRae Walsh

Candace McRae Walsh is an Associate Professor of Teaching in the Department of Public and Nonprofit Administration at the University of Memphis, and coordinates the PA and Nonprofit Minors programs. She also oversees the internship program within the department.

• Education: B.S. in Communications from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville; M.P.A. from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga

Her research interests include nonprofit management, public administration, strategic planning for nonprofits, and mediation. She has over 30 years of professional experience in journalism, municipal government, and nonprofit leadership. Walsh is certified as a Rule 31 General Civil Mediator by the Tennessee Supreme Court and is a member of the Alliance of Nonprofit Educators.

Advising/Grants: Coordinates administrative internships and integrates practical experience into academic programs. Prior roles include adjunct instructor at Mid-South Community College and co-owner of Magnolia Blue LLC, a consulting firm for nonprofits.

Labs/Teams: Actively involved in the university's public administration programs and nonprofit minor coordination.
