Dr. Camille Bellet is an Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Manchester's Centre for the History of Science, Technology and Medicine, holding a Wellcome Trust Research Fellowship. With interdisciplinary training spanning veterinary medicine (DVM), public health (MPH), and epidemiology (PhD), her research examines human-animal relations through posthumanist frameworks.
Bellet's scholarship investigates:
- Multispecies relationships in agricultural settings, particularly dairy farming systems
- Implementation and ethics of digital sensing technologies in animal care
- Sensory dimensions of human-animal interactions and knowledge production
- Veterinary humanities approaches to public health and food systems
Her publications demonstrate consistent focus on rethinking animal health paradigms through integration of veterinary science, social theory, and ethical frameworks. Recent work examines technological mediation in livestock management and alternative food networks.
Research has been supported by prestigious fellowships including the Wellcome Trust Research Award in Humanities and Social Science. She maintains honorary affiliations with University of Liverpool's Institute of Infection, Veterinary and Ecological Sciences.
