Camilla Thyregod

Camilla Thyregod is a Researcher at the Department of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science, Technical University of Denmark (DTU), specializing in Statistics and Data Analysis. She holds a PhD in Applied Statistics (DTU, 2002) and an M.Sc. in Applied Statistics (DTU, 1998).

Her research focuses on interdisciplinary applications of statistical methods, including public health interventions, railway infrastructure analysis, healthcare risk prediction, and machine learning. Key areas include dietary behavior modification in children, predictive modeling for home healthcare, railway maintenance optimization, and GM food safety assessments.

She has contributed to over 37 publications and led 63 research/consultancy projects, collaborating with EFSA, municipalities, and industry partners. Notable projects include developing risk prediction models for healthcare resource allocation and machine learning systems for railway infrastructure management.

Thyregod has also provided statistical expertise to the European Food Safety Authority and delivered guest lectures on applied statistics for PhD students. Her work aligns with UN SDGs related to good health and sustainable cities.
