Camilla Häbler is an Associate Professor in the Department of Languages, Literature and Culture at the University College of Southeast Norway (University College of Southeast Norway). Her academic interests focus on Scandinavian literature, literature didactics, children's literature, and the integration of sustainability themes in educational practices. She holds a Master's Degree in Scandinavian Studies from the University of Oslo and a Cand. Mag. in Scandinavian Studies, Political Science, and French from HiØ and UiO, alongside a teacher education qualification.
Her research explores the role of literature in fostering intercultural competence, sustainability awareness, and critical thinking in education. Key areas include graphic literature, the transition between primary and secondary education, and the application of literary analysis to address contemporary social challenges. She has collaborated extensively with institutions like Universitetsforlaget and contributed to projects promoting sustainable development through collaborative school-kindergarten initiatives.
Dr. Häbler teaches courses in Norwegian subjects for teacher education programs, emphasizing practical pedagogical strategies rooted in literary analysis.
