Camil Demetrescu

Camil Demetrescu is an Associate Professor in Computer Science at Sapienza University of Rome. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from the same institution (2001). He has been a visiting scientist at AT&T Research Laboratories (Networks Group) and the IT University of Copenhagen (Theory Group), and a consultant at Microsoft Research - Silicon Valley. His research focuses on computer security, algorithmics, software engineering, and programming languages, with emphasis on performance engineering of software systems, malicious software analysis, and experimental algorithmics.

Research Interests: His work spans interdisciplinary areas including combinatorial algorithms, data structures optimization, and the practical evaluation of algorithmic solutions. He actively contributes to advancing methodologies in experimental algorithmics, bridging theoretical foundations with real-world applications.
