Cameron Neat

Cameron Neat is an Associate Professor at Emily Carr University of Art and Design, holding dual appointments in the Ian Gillespie Faculty of Design + Dynamic Media and the Jake Kerr Faculty of Graduate Studies. He joined the faculty in 2016 with over 16 years of professional design experience and 5+ years of teaching experience. He earned a BFA in Visual Communications from Cornish College of the Arts and an MFA in Graphic Design from Rhode Island School of Design.

His research interests span aesthetics, science, ethics, and rhetoric applied to design practices. Key focus areas include typography, information graphics, interactive media, and the intersections of design with health, environment, and humanities. He actively engages in community service and creative practices such as gardening, cooking, and illustration.
