Dr. Cameron Kay is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Psychology at Union College. His research aims to enhance data quality in psychological studies through tools detecting careless survey responses and validating new scales like the Generic Conspiracist Beliefs Scale. He teaches courses in personality psychology, social psychology, statistical methods, and conspiracy theories.
He holds a B.A. from the University of British Columbia and M.A., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Oregon.
His publications explore psychometrics, Dark Tetrad traits, and social cognition, with recent work focusing on efficient measurement tools for conspiracist beliefs.
He mentors students including Mai Tran '26 and Trishikha Kiran Rao '25, who presented research at the Eastern Psychological Association convention.
