Cam Tero is an Academic Chair and Lecturer in the Community Development program at Murdoch University, affiliated with the School of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences within the College of Law, Arts and Social Sciences. He has over three decades of experience in education and community work, including roles in remote schools and community organizations. Tero teaches units focused on social policy, community action, and narratives of community practice, emphasizing practical and creative approaches to address societal challenges.
His research interests center on community development frameworks, humanitarian interventions, and policy-driven community engagement strategies. He actively contributes to academic governance as Academic Chair of Murdoch's Community Development programs and serves as Co-Chair of the Wyemando Bequest.
